Aproplan and GenieBelt merge to create new digital platform

30 January 2019 | By BIM+ staff

GenieBelt, the Danish construction software group, and Aproplan, the Belgian construction management app, have merged to form LetsBuild – a ‘build phase’ end-to-end digital platform.

The companies say they have both been experiencing a demand for solutions that the other company provides. It therefore makes sense to combine to offer one digital tool to manage all construction activities

LetsBuild CEO Klaus Nyengaard said: “Our customers tell us that switching between tools to manage processes is a pain on a busy site, and makes data collection cumbersome. Their dream is to have one simple-to-use solution where they can keep track of planning and progress, access all documents and support processes such as snagging and quality checking. That is exactly what we will provide with LetsBuild.”

Aproplan CEO Thomas Goubau, who will take up the role as CCO in LetsBuild, said: “We could have decided to just cooperate and integrate features from each other. But since our products complement each other extremely well and our companies have shared values, we felt this was an unmissable opportunity.”

The LetsBuild joint platform will help companies standardise their processes which in turn allows them to start collecting more data, enabling them to learn and improve on these processes.

Its features include real-time scheduling, progress reporting, custom workflows, snagging and punch lists, checklists, forms and drawings.

Since its formation in 2013, GenieBelt has focused on on-site planning and progress communication giving customers a real-time schedule and progress reporting Aproplan has specialised in digitising snagging, drawings and checklists.

Together, both companies are used on thousands of projects in more than 35 countries and have offices in Copenhagen, Brussels. London, Paris and Lodz.
