In pictures: GeoSLAM hits the high notes at Sydney Opera House

The team at geospatial 3D mapping and monitoring specialist GeoSLAM have produced a digital twin of one of the world’s most iconic structures, the Sydney Opera House.

Despite the throngs of tourists visiting the site at sunset, the ZEB Horizon 3D mobile scanner excelled at data capture due to its CT SLAM technology, which is unaffected by light levels.

At a height of 65m and covering an area of 18,000m2, the exterior of the Opera House was captured at walking speed in just 10 minutes. The data was then processed through GeoSLAM Hub, producing this complex and recognisable dataset in less than 20 minutes.
