What is your New Year’s resolution?

To buy more Lego to play with the family.

What is your most important lesson learnt from 2018?

Rather than spreading yourself too thin, commit to an area of work to achieve well-considered and robust solutions.

What innovative technology are you most excited about finding out more about in 2019, and why?

Use of 3D mapping technologies as a way to enable greater collaboration between humans and robots.

What consumer tech are you tempted to buy in new year sales?

I don’t buy much personal tech, but if pushed would be interested in getting a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone (pcitured below).

What individual or company is going to be “one to watch” this year and why?

I’m going to be more widely observing how big tech companies like Google, Microsoft and Apple are considering construction problems and how this will affect the industry.

Which construction technology do you want to see make the leap into mainstream adoption this year?

Greater use of autonomous mobile robots in construction.

What industry event are you looking forward to attending?

EcoBuild.
