Digital twin business case toolkit launched

A guide to developing a digital twin business case has been launched by Centre for Digital Built Britain’s (CDBB) National Digital Twin programme.

The toolkit, produced in response to the common question of “where do I begin with digital twins?”, guides the reader through a use case framework for articulating digital twin purpose via template, which can then be presented to stakeholders and decision makers in order to get sign off for a digital twin.

It also provides a road map that outlines the steps an organisation needs to go through to implement a digital twin, and presents case studies of digital twins that have been developed or are being developed (hosted on the CBBB’s digital twin hub).

The toolkit was drafted by a team with backgrounds in consulting, technology development, legal and academia. The team was assembled by the Gemini Programme, which was set up to provide resources to support the digital twin hub members who are developing digital twins.

The toolkit can all be accessed for free on the digital twin hub by registered members.

The CDBB wants feedback on the toolkit and its further development.
