Martin Grant Homes is to launch a health and safety app across all of its sites.

The app, developed with Forsite, will be trialled first at the Albany Park development in Church Crookham, Hampshire, and then rolled out across all of Martin Grant’s construction sites by the end of the year.

Construction workers will complete a digitised induction, which will include a test to prove participation, via mobile phone app to ensure they comply with the housebuilder’s health and safety standards.

The Forsite app will also record employee arrival and exit times to site via geofencing and sensors, removing the need for central sign-in points. The app has enhanced safety features such as an emergency button that can be used to quickly notify all those on site of any incidents.

Site managers will be able to view and manage all this information in real-time through a portal

Martin Grant Homes health and safety manager Ian Wand said: “We are excited to be the first housebuilder to adopt such technology in the UK.

“We are proud of our existing health and safety record and are looking forward to using Forsite to its full capacity across our sites, which will improve efficiency and ensure everyone on site is kept safe.”
