New BIM seminars and workshops at Digital Construction Week 2017

The UK BIM Alliance will be rolling out a number of new features at this year’s Digital Construction Week (DCW).

There will be a new series of BIM Chats as well as a separate space that will include technical workshops and clinics with presentations from BIM experts. This will be included alongside the BIM Village.

The BIM Village will focus on the business case, implementation, and adoption of BIM with different sessions catering to all skill levels with presentations from leading BIM experts including chair of the UK BIM Alliance, Anne Kemp, and head of BIM at the government’s UK BIM Task Group David Philp.

There will also be a dedicated #BIMchat space where conversations with presenters from the BIM Village will take place as well as technical workshops and clinics.

Oliver Hughes, co-founder and director of DCW, said: “Our aim is to make BIM learning accessible to all. There’s been a huge uptake of BIM and the associated technologies and processes since the launch of the mandate but as many will agree there is still much to be done.

“We want to really help drive the agenda forward as it’s clear there are real gains to be had. Partnering with the UK BIM Alliance allows us to do that, and hopefully offers everyone access to the information and expertise they need to get on their journey especially SME’s that make up 95% of the industry.”

DCW will be held on 18 and 19 October at a new venue, London Excel.
