Offsite industry joins UK BIM Alliance

Offsite industry body Buildoffsite has become an affiliate member of the UK BIM Alliance.

Joe Dyde, business manager at Buildoffsite, said: “We are thrilled to become an affiliate member of the UK BIM Alliance. The aims of the Alliance to enable digital transformation within the construction sector sit hand in hand with Buildoffsite’s objective to enable a modernised industry through the increased use of offsite and modern methods. Together, we look forward to combining our respective knowledge areas to better enhance and support the construction industry”

Steve Faulkner, UK BIM Alliance affiliates leadership team, said: “The UK BIM Alliance is delighted to welcome Buildoffsite to our ever growing list of affiliate members. Buildoffsite’s ambition to ‘normalise’ offsite techniques and MMC in order to streamline workflows and project delivery will tie in enormously well with the ambitions of the Alliance and our united goal of engineering a better society.”

The affiliate programme aims to bring together the professional institutions, trade associations and any other industry organisations to provide a consistent message and coordinated approach to digital transformation, working across silos to a shared objective.
