Bola Abisogun joins BIM Academy as digital director

Bola Abisogun OBE has joined BIM Academy as its new digital director. In the role, he will establish strong links with both UK and international clients and advise them on digital transformation strategies.

Most recently, Abisogun completed a 32-month secondment at Centre for Digital Built Britain, where he was a Gemini Ambassador and co-authored the Digital Twin Business Case Toolkit.

In 2019 he was awarded an OBE for Services to Diversity and Young People in the Construction Industry.

His near-30-year career in construction includes stints at Arcadis and Cast. He is a qualified and experienced chartered QS, with expertise in construction cost management, BIM and digital construction methodologies.

‘Extensive industry experience’

BIM Academy managing director Dr Graham Kelly said: “Bola not only brings his extensive industry experience to the team, but his excellent strategic and leadership skills. He has impressed the team already with his structured and focused industry-improvement mindset. He is a great fit for BIM Academy, with the combination of skills and expertise to support the business through our next strategic growth phase.”
